Ohio State OCIO Adobe Connect Pilot

Pilot Outline and Goals

The Ohio State University is piloting Adobe Connect for use as a web conferencing / webinar service for academic and non-academic units.  Connect was chosen during the 2010-2011 academic year as the best product for instructor-guided sessions and small discussion groups, the most common academic needs.  Among competing products, it also rated high for accessibility.

The purpose of the 2011-2012 pilot will identify a package of hardware, software licensing, and possible auxiliary services that will be meet the university’s needs.  We will also develop a support model and generate best practices for use of a web conferencing platform in distance and hybrid courses at Ohio State.  Finally, this pilot should lay the groundwork for successful partnerships between the OCIO and other units at Ohio State.

For more information about participating in the pilot, visit the Resources page.
